From September 6 to September 27 Goodfellas Gallery is forced to host the eclectic and eccentric art group known as the Next Level Art Collective.

Dedicated to changing the way modern art is perceived, used & abused, the Next Level Art Collective is back for a third round. The focus will remain the same: functional and abstract art. '3 Deep Breaths' is a method used by the group to find the moment in life and creation--to be in the moment is to be free. And creating works while in the midst of bliss--ART.

The collective has also taken a stance against the recent gun violence that is plaguing our city. They have created a much anticipated bullet series that will also be on display for the first time. By collecting as many live bullets and reusable brass shells they could get their hands on and taking them off the streets, they have turned instruments of harm into instruments of form and fine art, putting them to good and functional use.

"I've watched them (the group) turn what started as a form of therapy into a fully functional operation. I've watched their hobby turn into a passionate lifestyle. But when you put yourself around them it's clear you have not seen anything yet."

 - Joshua James, Owner, Goodfellas Gallery.

Three inspired siblings combine their talents, feelings and energies bringing together the group known as the Next Level Art Collective. When painting, the group collectively offers everything they have as individuals into each piece; resulting in one piece of artwork created by three different energies. Each member builds on the previous artist’s contribution. Each source brings a different frequency giving the observer a unique and emotional viewing experience. And this is only the beginning…

"As we've said before, everything bleeds together--we're all artists, we just paint with different brushes. I present to you--Next Level Art Collective"

-  Latecia Shantre, founder of MayhamMedia

The Next Level Art Collective has since grown in numbers. Now the group consists of a number of emerging and established fine artists, from all walks of life, creating abstract art TOGETHER. However the spirit of the abstract art remains: collaboration, exploration and ‘great f%#king art’. This group continues to focus on capturing raw emotions FOREVER.

 October 24th, 2011 - Welcome!!

First off I want to say thank you for taking time to visit my site. It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally here. I will be updating this blog as much as I can with dr.Func related info.

This is officially my first blog post on the new dr.Func site. It's been a busy 2011 and we're gearing up for an even busier 2012, plus my business has found it's true calling. We are now completely focused on working with all types of companies to help re-create the look of their work space with fine abstract art work and customized furniture. We have finished jobs under our belt, and new jobs coming down the pipeline which makes for an exciting time.

I have to send out a huge thanks to Greg Miller of for creating this site and helping me get it off the ground. Greg and his team were a pleasure to work with during the whole process.

I also owe a huge thanks to Hitoshi Murakami and Vincent Luk of and Mike Peleshok of Mike who provided us with the awesome images you see on this site. Those images are key to showing our potential customers the work we do. Thanks guys and I look forward to more projects in the future.

Affiliations and people that helped me along the way. Huge thanks to each and every one of you.

Sincerely, Rob Watson.
